However, since Sharrock had already joined Beady Eye, Liam Gallagher's new band with the other former members of Oasis, that left Stacey as the only choice by default. The band consisted of vocalist Liam Gallagher and guitarists Gem Archer and Andy Bell, formerly of Oasis, rounded by drummer Chris Sharrock who substituted for Oasis during their last tour in 2008/2009, before Oasis broke up after chief songwriter and lead guitarist Noel Gallagher quit acrimoniously in August 2009.
Looooove Beady Eye!!!! " Different Gear, Still Speeding" brought me back & helped me re-discover Oasis, which has been very entertaining! Thought they should've stuck with same that same producer for 2nd album "BE", which didn't strike a chord with me. Very, very sorry they've disbanded. I'm part of the Liam "camp" & I think he's been having a very bad & very public mid-life crisis past several years.
