For a while I could agree with the above statment, but for me, after the release of UR-048 "The Swarm" and then "Revenge Of The Jaguar", Underground Resistance took a real turn for the worse. Recent releases have lacked the freshness and uncompromising attitude which in my opinion made the label so strong and brought it such a huge underground following.
Eighteen tasteful selections make up Volume One. Including "Please Say It Isn't So," by Lee Williams & the Cymbals, an emotional tear jerker sung in William's expressive, vibrant tenor. The Cymbals had one song that cracked the R&B Top 40, the dramatic "I Love You More" (not included here). The Pretenders, like the Cymbals, recorded for Carnival Records, their best recording "For The Rest of My Days" is worth the price alone, their multi leads, and flowing harmonies are precious.

Underground Electro Vol. 1 (2xLP, Comp, Ltd). CBR 2010 DLP 001. Germany. In this sense, I can recommend the album. However, I also have to admit that it feels somehow strange - most of the artists are of German nationality, the tracks are brand new (released 2010), and then you have rhymes like "dance around to the sound of the underground" or "move your body to the beat", which sound somewhat silly nowadays. The 80´s american rap parts also prove to be more difficult to authentically "reproduce" than the synthetic sounds.
Underground Vol. 1: (1991–1994) is a collection of songs recorded when Three 6 Mafia first started their rap career. These songs have been taken from their underground mixtapes and albums such as DJ Paul & Juicy J's Vol. 1 - 3 mixtapes, DJ Paul & Lord Infamous' mixtapes, Juicy J's mixtapes and the Triple Six Mafia's Smoked Out, Loced Out tape. Ridin' In Da Chevy Pt. 2" - DJ Paul & Lord Infamous feat. Juicy J. "Niggaz Ain't Barin' Dat" - Triple Six Mafia
