The Twilight Sad are set to release a remix album of their last LP, No One Can Ever Know - The Remixes, out on November 26 via Fat Cat Records. The album features some rather ace reworkings of the Scottish indie trio by Liars, JD Twitch, The Horrors and more - have a listen to our exclusive stream of the record: We asked singer James Graham to talk us through their remixers: Brokenchord I first heard of Brokenchord through Radiohead. His remix of 'Give Up The Ghost' was one of my favourite from their recent remix record

The Skinny voted the album as the best album of 2012. In an accompanying interview, James Graham stated that, "No One Can Ever Know has opened the door to so many ideas and things we can do musically. Our fourth album will be very important in deciding the future of this band. The album was also nominated for the Scottish Album of the Year Award. Retrieved 10 February 2017. The worth of the remix album has been questioned by critics countless times before, but when a band's sound is completely reinvented, as is the case with The Twilight Sad's No One Can Ever Know - The Remixes, the reasoning behind the album is pretty much self-evident.

Nobody Wants to Be Here and Nobody Wants to Leave is the fourth studio album by Scottish indie rock band The Twilight Sad, released by FatCat Records on 27 October 2014.

Earlier this year, the Twilight Sad released their stark, unforgiving, dance-inflected album No One Can Ever Know. And next week, they’ll drop No One Can Ever Know: The Remixes, an impressively well-curated collection of reworkings. We’ve already posted remixes from Liars and Com Truise, and now here’s another one. The Horrors’ Tom Furse has turned Not Sleeping into a bleak seven-minute vintage-synth dronescape. The Twilight Sad – Not Sleeping (Tom Furse Dub Mix) (via Rolling Stone). No One Can Ever Know: The Remixes is out 11/5 on FatCat.

Album · 2012 · 10 Songs. Released more than two years after its last studio album, No One Can Ever Know finds the Scottish indie rock band bypassing its usual wall of sound for a sparser attack, influenced by bands such as Can, Cabaret Voltaire, Public Image Lt. and Liars. Had Joy Division been Scottish, it might have sounded a bit like The Twilight Sad here. It's a mix of Unknown Pleasures and Closer brought to a cathartic head. On "Dead City," analog synths meet an anonymous ethereal ambience to set the stage for James Graham's existential yet committed vocals.
