Focus con Proby is the seventh studio album by the Dutch rock band Focus, released in 1977 on EMI Records. It features five tracks with vocals from American singer P. J. Proby. The record also features guitarists Eef Albers and Philip Catherine, drummer Steve Smith, as well as the two Focus members from previous albums.

Proby features on five of the album's nine tracks, and it's a sign of how seamlessly the two sides came together that, after a handful of listens, Focus' own instrumentals actually seem somewhat lacking - in punch, in power and in purpose. Two Albers tracks, "Orion" and the jazzy "Night Flights", are especially disappointing, all the more so since they fall between two of Proby's own greatest showcases, "Wingless" and the supremely stately "Eddy". Overall, however, it's difficult to fault the music these two unlikely poles did conjoin to create, rendering Focus Con Proby one of the most unexpected triumphs in the entire Focus catalog. And one of the best things Proby has ever done.

Focus con Proby is the sixth studio album by the progressive rock band Focus. Featuring the American singer P. Proby, it was released in January 1978. Side one. Side two. 2 Personnel.

This is kind of a come back album for Focus. It came out 3 years after the previous album, Mother Focus. Jan Akkerman is no longer in the group. But, the group does feature vocalist PJ Proby. PJ Proby is a pop singer from Texas, who had some success in Europe. PJ Proby is not his real name. On one of his albums, the back up musicians were the members of Led Zeppelin, before they formed Led Zeppelin. This CD has 5 songs, 4 instrumentals and is 48 minutes long.
