Ween - White Pepper mp3 flac
Album · 2000 · 12 Songs.
White Pepper is Ween's seventh full-length album, and the last album they would release on Elektra Records. It was released on May 2, 2000. White Pepper is one of Ween's most polished albums. Songs such as "Even If You Don't" feature powerful, radio-friendly production and musicianship
It took me a while to get it. It wasn't until I opened up Ween's latest. It took me a while to get it. It wasn't until I opened up Ween's latest album and saw the insert, with one side whitewashed and the other covered in multicolored peppers, that I began to dissect the album's name, and eventually came upon my epiphany. White Album! Sgt. Pepper! White Pepper! Shit!" Either I'm reading way too much into this album's title, or Gene and Dean have spliced together the names of two of the greatest albums ever into a spicy, yet seemingly benign title.

White Pepper is the eighth Ween album, and the last album to be published by Elektra Records as their contract with Elektra would eventually expire, leading them to release albums on independant labels again. The album is more polished than other Ween albums, and moves them away from their hard rock roots for a more radio friendly, pop, and AM radio inspired type of music, while signs of their hard rock roots still show.
No, sorry ass-holes, Ween still rock my ing balls off. That last sentence is running though my head as I listen to one of the most unjustly hated Ween albums. Stroker Ace is a phenominal song, but in all reality, should probably not have been placed on White Pepper. It sticks out like a sore thumb, and brings a jagged break in the overall calming feeling. It could have been placed intentionally by Ween, as it is in roughly the middle of the album, but I highly doubt it. With the exception of a few, the songs sound like they could be taken directly from the popular music of the 60's and 70's. Hell, Even If You Don't sounds exactly like an Eagles song to me.
Ween (Musical Group) ween white pepper full album ween full album dean ween gene ween. I love them so much, but for some reason they have to include one homophobic song on each album so I can't "sell" it to half my friends who would otherwise love it. This is an exception and I think surpasses the Beatles psychedelic period.
By any other standard, White Pepper is a weird, wild ride. But, if you're listening to Ween just to chuckle, you're missing the point anyway, since they're not just consummate satirists - check out the wonderful "Pandy Fackler," which mimics Steely Dan's lush jazz-pop, down to Gene's deadly Donald Fagen imitation - they're consummate songwriters and musicians. Ween's music rewards multiple plays and White Pepper is ample proof.
